1) 20 = -5(-3+x)
20/-5 = -3 + x
-4 = -3 + x
-4 + 3 = x
x = -1
2)20 = -5(-3 + x)
20 = 15 - 5x
20 - 15 = - 5x
5 = -5x
5/-5 = x
x = -1

1) First way:

-5(-3+x) = 20

=>
15 - 5x = 20

=>
-5x = 20 -15

=>
-5x = 5

=>

x = 5/-5

=>

x = -1

2) Second way:

-5(-3+x)=20

=>

-3+x = 20/-5

=>

- 3 + x = -4

=>

x = -4 + 3

=>

x = -1
