How did romes location affect its development

The Roman empire was near the mediterranean sea. This helped because they could trade by sea. They also used the water from the med to filter and bring it to the empire through aqueducts. The aqueducts made the empire very advanced because they had baths, clean drinking water, and many pretty fountains. :)
