Photosynthesis is an extremely valuable process for green plants, and it's occurs when they use the sunlight to create nutrients from carbon dioxide and water. It is extremely important for us, humans, because this process generates oxygen as a by-product.Hope this helps. Let me know if you need additional help!

During photosynthesis, by using their chlorophyll, oxygen is produced as a waste product when plants use sunlight to “synthesize” sustenance into energy. The prefix “photo” means light, and the name “photosynthesis” takes its name from how plants utilize light to for the synthesis of food, water, carbon dioxide, and other nutrients.
