Well when you divide fractions you are actually using multiplication. Dividing is the same as multilying by the reciprocal

Answer:

When we are multiplying any two fractions, we do the following:

(a)/(b) *(c)/(d)

And when we are dividing two fractions, we do the following:

( (a)/(b) )/( (c)/(d) )

We solve such problems by multiplying but we take the reciprocal of denominator.

It will look like
(a)/(b) *(d)/(c)

So, basically we are multiplying in both conditions. This is why these are similar.
