Honeybee description
• Honeybee refers to any of seven species that belong to the genus Apis, being the most common called ,Apis mellifera.
• They are considered to be social insects because they live in communities. Theor most common predators are bears, skunks, bee-eater birds and hive beetles.
• They are vegetarian and feed on nectar and pollen of plants, what makes them primary consumers. They play a key role in the polinisation of plants as they spread pollen.
• The original habitat of honeybees are tropical climates and heavily forested areas, and it is believed they are originally from south Asia.
