The given coordinates are (0,-2) and (-5,-3). The line equation is,

y = mx + b

Here, m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

The slope can be calculated as,


m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)=(-3+2)/(-5)=(1)/(5)

Now to calculate b, let us take the point (0,-2) and 1/5 as m,


\begin{gathered} -2=0*(1)/(5)+b \\ b=-2 \end{gathered}

Therefore the equation of the line is,


y=(1)/(5)x-2
