Find the prime factorization of each number.
(Use divisibility rules, dividing up the number until you can't anymore.)

16 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2
20 = 2 × 2 × 5
24 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3

Multiply together any factors that they all share

2 × 2 = 4
