$3w^(2) - 8w + 4 \\ = 3w^(2) - 6w - 2w + 4 \\= 3w(w - 2) -2( w - 2) \\ = (3w - 2)(w - 2) \\ w = 2/3 , w = 2$

$3w^2-8w+4=0\\\\3w^2-6w-2w+4=0\\\\3w(w-2)-2(w-2)=0\\\\(w-2)(3w-2)=0\\\\w-2=0\ \ \ or\ \ \ 3w-2=0\\\\w=2\ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ w= (2)/(3)$
