*Riddle* poor people have it, rich people need it, if you eat it you die, what is it?

(i will expose the answer once i get up to three answers. Good luck :)

The answer is nothing because the poor have nothing, rich people don't really need anything, meaning that they need 'nothing' and if you eat 'it' you will die is nothing because not eating for a while may cause death. Also I thought this one through and how to explain it.
