Rational numbers are numbers that end. They dont continue forever. In .57 its a rational number because theres only two numbers it doesnt keep going.

it is a rational number since the number does not go on forever and is not spontaneous. ( you can tell that no numbers come after this) Pi would be irrational since it goes on forever and does not have a certain pattern.
