so (x1,y1) is equivalent to (3,5) and (x2,y2) is equivalent to (-2,-4)

So -4 - 5/ -2 - 3 = -9/-5 READ THE BOTTOM

now the reason the answer is 9/5 and not -9/5 is because we have TWO NEGATIVES in both equations, so if we reverse it, it becomes (5 - -4/ 3 - -2) meaning the two negatives CROSS EACH OTHER OUT and create a POSITIVE, making the answer 9/5
