terminate because 17/25 is the same as 68/100 and that is 0.68. So, it is terminate

Firstly we need to realize that 17/25 is as much as 68/100 (because 4 * 17 = 68 and 4 * 25 = 100). Now we can write it as a decimal of 0.68.
0.68 is a terminate decimal because there is no other digit than 0 we can add on its right hand side.
