Let x be the number of bowls the potter could make 10 pound of clay

3/5 pound= 1 bowl

10 pound = x

cross-multiply

(3)/(5)x=10

Multiply both-side of the equation by 5/3

x=10*(5)/(3)
=(50)/(3)

=16\text{ }(2)/(3)
