You have a piece of balsa wood that is 45 cm long, 8cm high, and 4 cm wide. It weighs 500 g. what is its density?

Density= Mass/volume
Volume= 45 x 8 x 4
= 1440 cm3
Density: 500/1440
=0.347g/cm3 (3s.f.)
