What is the answer to 2x-3y=8 when you solve for y?

you subtract 2x from both sides so you would get -3y=8-2x. finally you divide by -3 o both sides so your answer is y=8-2x/-3

2x - 3y = 8 \\ 2x = 8 + 3y \\ 3y = 2x -8 \\ \\ y = (2x-8)/(3)
