We were given the equation:

w-3.2=5.6

We are to solve for the unknown variable using the method of elimination (we will eliminate the constant term to obtain the unknown variable. his is shown below:

\begin{gathered} w-3.2=5.6 \\ \text{Add ''3.2'' to both sides, we have:} \\ w-3.2+3.2=5.6+3.2 \\ w=8.8 \end{gathered}

Hence, we have:

\begin{gathered} w-3.2+3.2=5.6+3.2 \\ w=8.8 \end{gathered}
