Steps for writing net ionic equation:

1) Write the balanced molecular equation.

2) Write the states (s, l, g and aq) for the substances with the help of the solubility table.

3) Split electrolytes into ions (this is called the complete ionic equation)

4) Cross out all the spectator ions on both sides.

5) Write the remaing substances as the net ionic equation.

\begin{gathered} 2AgNO_(3(aq))+Na_2CO_(3(aq))\rightarrow Ag_2CO_(3(s))+2NaNO_(3(aq)) \\ 2Ag^++2NO_3^-+2Na^++CO_3^(2-)\rightarrow Ag_2CO_3+2Na^++2NO_3^- \\ Net\text{ }Ionic\text{ }Equation:2Ag^++CO_3^(2-)\rightarrow Ag_2CO_3 \end{gathered}
