The distributive property states a(b+c) = ab + ac. So, to you solve your question, we need to find the LCM of 35 and 7, which is 7. Now we have to factor out the 7, and we get your answer:

In order to express this in the distributive property, they have to have something in common, (also called the GCF or Greatest Common Factor). So, the greatest common factor of 35 and 7 is in fact 7. So you would divide both of these numbers by 7, and then put them in parentheses with a seven as the division on the outside.
Your final product should look like this 7(5+1).
