A) ( 5.5 , 8 )

X coordinate: ( 8 + 3 ) / 2 = 11 / 2 = 5.5

Y coordinate: ( 14 + 2 ) / 2 = 16 / 2 = 8

( 5.5 , 8 )

Answer:

The midpoints of the endpoints A (3,2) and B (8,14) is (5.5 , 8) .

Option (a) is correct .

Explanation:

Formula

Mid\ points = ((x_(2)+x_(1))/(2), (y_(2)+y_(1))/(2)})

As given

The endpoints are A (3,2) and B (8,14) .

x_(1) = 3

x_(2) = 8

y_(1) = 2

y_(2) = 14

Put all the values in the above formula

Mid\ points = ((8+3)/(2), (14+2)/(2)})

Mid\ points = ((11)/(2), (16)/(2)})

Midpoints = (5.5 , 8)

Therefore the midpoints of the endpoints A (3,2) and B (8,14) is (5.5 , 8) .

Option (a) is correct .
