1. Atoms are those smallest particles or elements that can be combined with other elements and create a reaction.
While compound is simply the combination of two or more atoms that are chemically combined and produce new elements.
Here are some examples of Atoms:
-> Hydrogen
-> Neon
-> plutonium
Here are some examples of compounds:
=> water – combination of hydrogen and oxygen
=> Ammonia – combination of Nitrogen and hydrogen
=> Alcohol – combination of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen.
=> methane – combination of carbon and hydrogen.
