Place value relationship is the change in the value of an account when given to the nearest dollars.
For example:
The given number is 5482 round to the nearest hundreds.
Thus this became 5500, because 4 is in the hundreds place and the digit next to it is 8 which is more than 5 so apply rounding up.
Notice that the current value we have change the time we rounded it to the nearest hundreds.
Another example:
0.99999 round to the nearest tenths.
=> 1.0
