lets first convert these unlike fraction into like fractions....by taking their LCM and making their denominators same ..and then u can compare them .so LCM of 7 and 5 is 35..now we need to make both the fractions multiply with such a number which give the denominator 35..
=>3/5=3/7 X5 =15/35
=>2/5=2/5X7 =14/35
so the fractions are : 15/35 and 14/35
therefore : 15/35 > 14/35
i.e, 3/7>2/5 ..
hence 3/7 is bigger ...

Hope it helps !!!

To compare fractions you need to make their denominators the same and then compare their numerators.

(3)/(7)=(3 * 5)/(7 * 5)=(15)/(35) \\ \\ (2)/(5)=(2 * 7)/(5 * 7)=(14)/(35) \\ \\ 15 \ \textgreater \ 14 \xrightarrow{so} (15)/(35) \ \textgreater \ (14)/(35) \xrightarrow{so} (3)/(7) \ \textgreater \ (2)/(5)

3/7 is bigger.
