Yon buys tickets to a concert for himself and a friend. There is a tax of 6% on the price of the tickets and an additional booking fee of $20 for the transaction. Write an algebraic expression to represent the price pre person. Simplify the expression if possible.

Well, I assume that both tickets cost the same: let's call it x.

So the tickets cost 106%x (the cost of the ticket plus tax).
The total prize of the tickets will be: 2*106% x+20.

But let's assume that you share it half-half: then each of you pays half of this:


(2*1.06x+20)/(2) = 1.06x+10


So, this is how much each of you pays: 1.06x+10
