Explanation :

Qualitative observation : It is a type of observation that can be observed by our senses like touch, taste, smell, sight and hear. In the qualitative observation the number or measurements are not involved.

For example : colors, texture, shapes of the objects are the qualitative observation.

Quantitative observations : It is a type of observation that can be observed by instruments like scale, balance, thermometer, graduated cylinder, beaker, etc. In the quantitative observation the number or measurements are involved.

For example : Weigh 80 kg of sugar is an example of quantitative observation.
