The correct answer would be 9,000. This works because the 32 in the number is closer to the number 0 not 100. You round up if the number is 50 or over and you round down if it is 49 or under.

Here are the digit values:

2⇒Ones place

3⇒Tens place

0⇒Hundreds place

9⇒Thousands place

You just need to look at the digits right after the hundreds place

Is 32 closer to 0 or 100? Since it it under the halfway point, which is 50, its closer to 0
