C = ⁵/₉(F - 32)
f(x) = ⁵/₉(x - 32)
y = ⁵/₉(x - 32)
y = ⁵/₉(x) - ⁵/₉(32)
y = ⁵/₉x - 17⁷/₉
x = ⁵/₉y - 17⁷/₉
x + 17⁷/₉ = ⁵/₉y
1⁴/₅(x + 17⁷/₉) = 1⁴/₅(⁵/₉y)
1⁴/₅(x) + 1⁴/₅(17⁷/₉) = y
1⁴/₅x + 32 = y
1⁴/₅x + 32 = f⁻¹(x)
1⁴/₅F + 32 = C⁻¹
