well to do this you would have to find the LCM (least common multiple) of 4 and 3. so, if you line up all of the multiples of 4
4,8,12,16,20,24,28,32,36,40....
and the multiples of 3
3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27,30,33....
the least multiple that they both have is 12
