A dolphin starts at the surface of the water. It dives down at a rate of 3 feet per second. If the water level is zero, what real number describes the dolphins location after 3 1/2 seconds?

To solve this problem take 3 1/2 and convert it into a decimal which would be 3.5 then take 3.5*3=10.5. Meaning that after 3 and 1/2 seconds the dolphin has dive'd a total of 10 1/2 feet.
