it will be 275 miles because you're going 110 miles in an hour so you multiply 110 by 2 then you multiply 110 by .5 then you add it together and you get 275

Answer:

275 miles

Explanation:

Given: A train travels 110 miles per hour.

To find: How far train will travel in 2 1/2 hours.

Solution: It is given that the train is traveling 110 miles per hour.

the train traveled for
2(1)/(2) =(5)/(2) hour.

To find the distance traveled in
2(1)/(2) hour, we need to multiply the distance traveled per hour by time.

So, we have

=110*(5)/(2)

=55*5

=275 miles

Hence, the train will travel 275 miles in tex]2\frac{1}{2}[/tex] hour.
