How do you do 2x-9=x+1

2x-9=x+1 is the equation

Your goal is to get "x" by itself

Also note that whatever you do on one side, you do on the other


2x-9=x+1

Add 9 to each side


2x=x+10

Now -x from each side


x=10

That is your answer

Answer: x=10
