Well, the slaves were treated badly, made to do extra work. They were also punished by whipping. Also, when the slaves were being transported, they were all packed in little spaces on ships. They got ill, and those who died or were very ill were tossed out of the ship. Hope i helped.

One of the most obvious difficulties slaves faced was being slaves. As a result, they were seen as property and had no rights. They were also treated very poorly, with little regard for their health or even their lives — slaves were often beaten, whipped, raped or killed. The journey from Africa in the slave triangle was also taken in abominable conditions.
