Answer:

2,640,000

Explanation:

We have been given a number 2,639,456. We are asked to round our given number to nearest ten-thousand.

First of all, we will find place value of each digit as:

Ones: 6

Tens: 5

Hundreds: 4

Thousands: 9

Ten thousands: 3

Hundred thousands: 6

Millions: 2

We can see that ten thousands value is 3 and thousands value for our given number is 9.

Since thousands value for our given number is greater than 5, therefore, we will round up our answer to nearest ten thousands as:

2,639,456\approx 2,640,000

Therefore, our required number would be 2,640,000.
