Find QR in the following problems. R is between Q and S.

1.If RS=44.6 and SQ=68.4, find QR.

2. If RS=33.5 and RQ=80, find SQ.

THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!

Final answer:

To find QR, subtract SQ from RS. To find SQ, subtract RQ from RS.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find QR, we need to use the fact that R is between Q and S. In problem 1, we are given that RS = 44.6 and SQ = 68.4. We can subtract SQ from RS to find QR: QR = RS - SQ = 44.6 - 68.4 = -23.8. Note that the negative sign indicates that QR is in the opposite direction of RS.

In problem 2, we are given that RS = 33.5 and RQ = 80. To find SQ, we subtract RQ from RS: SQ = RS - RQ = 33.5 - 80 = -46.5. Again, the negative sign indicates that SQ is in the opposite direction of RS.

First thing to note, QR + RS = QS

#1, RS = 44.6 and SQ = 68.4

Plug in to the equation I wrote above

QR + 44.6 = 68.4
QR = 23.8

#2, RS = 33.5 and RQ = 80

QR + 33.5 = 80
QR = 46.5
