Suppose a square is 100%,
50%: the square is divided into two equal parts, and one of them is shaded, therefore it is 50%.
25%: the square is divided into 4 equal parts, and one of them is shaded, therefore it is 25%.
150%: there are two squares, each divided into 2 equal parts, and 3 of them is shadowed, therefore it is 150%.

The shaded portions of the squares in the picture attached represents 25%, 50%, and 150% respectively.

A whole square represents 100% ;

For 25%

We Divide the square into 4 equal sizes,

100% / 4 = 25% for each portion of the division.

For 50%:

We divide the square into 2 equal portion ;

100% / 2 = 50% for each portion of the divison.

To obtain 150%,

(100% + 50%) ; this can be modeled thus ;

1 whole square + (1 whole square divided by 2)
