P = 2.85714285714.
First you multiply 3 x 8
which gives 24
you subtract 4
which gives you 20
then you divide 20 by 7
Which gives you P=2.85714285714

|7p+4|/8=3

1/8(|7p+4|)=3

Divide both sides by 1/8.

1/8(|7p+4|)1/8=3/1/8

|7p+4|=24

Solve Absolute Value.

|7p+4|=24

7p+4=24 or 7p+4=−24

7p+4=24

7p+4−4=24−4(Subtract 4 from both sides)

7p=20

7p/7=20/7(Divide both sides by 7)

p=20/7

7p+4=−24

7p+4−4=−24−4(Subtract 4 from both sides)

7p=−28

7p/7=−28/7(Divide both sides by 7)

p=−4
