What was the social structure in the new Indian civilization? Why did reincarnation provide a good reason for this system?

The social structure referred to the castes: the hierarchical structure involving dividing the population into four main castes and some people left outside of the case system.

People could have rebelled against this system, but reincarnation made people believe that in the next life their life could be better, and it gave them a reason not to rebel.
