Given,

The applied force, F=60 N

The weight of the furniture, W=150 N

The distance through which the furniture was pushed, d=20 m

The work done by the source is given by the product of the force applied by the source and the distance for which the force was applied.

Therefore the work done by you is given by,


W_d=F* d

On substituting the known values,


\begin{gathered} W_d=60*20 \\ =1200\text{ J} \end{gathered}

Therefore, the work done by you in moving the given piece of furniture is 1200 J
