Kelso is in charge of a bake sale. On each table, t, there will be a platter of 24 cookies and 2 bowls of brownies with b brownies inside. Kelso needs an additional 150 cookies to replace what he sells. This situation can be written as the following expression: 24t (2b)t 150 How many total sweets are there if there are 7 tables and 12 brownies in each bowl?

Kelso is in charge on a bake sale
t = table
c = cookies
b = brownies
=> There are 7 tables
=> 24 cookies per table
=> 2 bowl of brownies per table with 12 brownies each bowl.
=> 150 additional cookies

=> 7(24 + 2(12)) + 150
=> 7(24 + 24) + 150
=> 168 + 168 + 150
=> 486

Thus, Kelso needs 168 cookies and 168 brownies or 14 bowl of brownies and an additional of 150 cookies for 7 tables with the total of 486 in all.
