In this problem of monarch butterflies the researchers found out that one site contains 8,912 of these creatures. And problem is asking how many butterflies all in all.
Hence, we let x = one site

One site expressed as X = 8,912
All site 1000 large is expressed as (1000)(x)

Solution:
1. Since x=8,912, we substitute the x of 1000(x)

2.
Which becomes 1000(8912)

3.
Finding the product of these two which is 8,912,000

Therefore, there are a total of 8,912,000 were at the site in total.
