The spirit of democratic simplicity is a style made or acted by Thomas Jefferson during his term as the president. He maintained the practice of not riding or using fancy carriage instead use the trasnsportation means used by the common citizens. He also projected the trait of living like a normal citizen thus, trying to dress as the normal and common citizens do. He projected a plain and simple image that is free from all sorts of pretensions. He choose not to wear the aura of majesty and grandeur as someon that is on power.
