X2+2x-3=0
factor
(x+3) (X-1)=O
set each factor to 0
x+3=0
x= -3

x-1=0
x=-1

therefore b is the correct answer

hope this helps

The answer is B)

x2+2x−3=0

Factor left side of equation.

(x−1)(x+3)=0

Set factors equal to 0.

x−1=0 or x+3=0

x=1

or

x=−3
