Alaska has the following climate regions:
Polar region - the Earth's frigid zones which surround the geographical poles (the North and South Poles
Subpolar region -the region in the Northern Hemisphere
They are characterized with average temperature of less than 10 °C, lack of warm summers,the sun shines for long hours in the summer, and for many fewer hours in the winter.

the answer to this question is Polar & Subpolar.
The southern part of the Alaska (sub polar) tend to be a little bit warmer compared to the polar region that is located in the northern region.
This situation is created because the northern part of Alaska is a lot closer to the north pole, where the temperature is usually below 0 degrees celsius
