Unlike other tissues such as your abdomen muscles or biceps, this type of muscle and cells do not have the ability to repair themselves or form new cells. That means when the a single cell is injured, the cell dies. Now, if a part of the heart is injured for example by trauma such as you getting shocked, the muscle is burnt and does not replace the injured muscle. The electrical conductivity of th heart will also cease to function properly and the result will be an irregular heart beat. In cases of diseases such as bacterial infection of the heart valves, it causes a condition called heart murmurs and the heart literally producs murmuring sounds and impedes blood flow. The bacteria that can cause this condition is called Streptococcus pyogenes. Another common condition you have heard of is called a myocardial infarction or commonly known as a heart attack. One cause of a heart attack is when a major artery that supplies the heart muscle with blood called the carotid artery is blocked by plaque as a result of an unhealthy lifestyle. The plaque blocks blood from reaching the heart muscle cells called cardiomyocytes and they begin to die in hundreds per minute. Since the heart cells cannot repair and replace themselves, the whole heart starts to slow down and immediately stops. This is the reason why it is an emergency because the heart stopping to pump blood starves the brain of its most precious comodities i.e. glucose and oxygen. All the body systems start to die. CPR will assist the person by triggering the flow of blood and that prevents more cells from dying until they get to a hospital.

Answer : Heart is an important muscular organ of the body. It is a vital organ because it controls the blood circulatory system in the human body. It pumps blood mixed with oxygen to different parts of the body.

There are many nerves attached to the heart. It is situated in the middle compartment of the chest and is placed between the lungs. If any parts which is associated with the heart gets injured or damaged. The function of the heart will get disturbed which may even cause death of that human.

Any nerve, or tissue, or veins, or capillaries, or valves of heart which is not performing its function properly may prove to be fatal for that individual. It can give a heart stroke, or a cardiac arrest also.
