An integer is a whole number. It can be a positive whole number, a negative whole number, or zero.
There are two rules to remember when multiplying integers. First: The product of a positive and a negative integer is a negative integer. Second: The product of two negative integers or two positive integers is a positive integer.

For example:
Using rule number 1:
1.) (-7) (5) = -35
2.) (10) (-9) = -90

Using rule number 2:
3.) (5) (5) = 25
4.) (-4) (-3) = 12
