Why Switzerland can be neutral country?

Switzerland was a neutral country in both World War I and World War II, because it did not arm itself militarily, nor did it invade any country. It's geographical position to forces involved in the war was interesting for all parties during the war, for diplomacy, espionage, commerce and as a safe place for people leaving the war. Switzerland was also central (geographic location, again) and remained largely undamaged.
