How does the Bill of Rights protect the unalienable rights of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" listed in the Declaration of

The main way in which the Bill of Rights does this is to explicitly make clear that the Constitution will not encroach on the most fundamental human liberties, such as freedom of speech, the right to a speedy trial, etc.
