9 ten thousands is equalled to 9•10,000=90,000.
(Nine multiplied by ten thousand equals to ninety thousand)
90,000/10=9,000,
(Ninety thousand divided by ten equals nine thousand)
The answer to this question is 9,000

9 ten-thousands is 9*10,000=90,000. 90,000/10 is 9,000, or nine thousands.
