In World War II, the Axis Countries were those that combined authoritarian ideologies, such as Hitler's German Nazism and Italian fascism, led by Mussolini. These countries were responsible for the growing instability on European territory and the actual outbreak of the second war. Together with Germany and Italy was Japan, the other great protagonist who formed the triad of the Axis countries. On the other side were the Allied countries, composed mainly of USA, England and Soviet Union.
