Equation of a line
A line can be written in the slope-intercept form as:
y = mx + b
Here, b is called as the y-intercept.
The y-intercept is the point where the line crosses the y-axis.
We can see in the image the line crosses the y-axis at the point (0,4)
Thus, the y-intercept is y=4
Additionally, we can see the x-intercept where the line crosses the x-axis
The value can be clearly seen as x=8
