The mean of the probability distribution would be


\mu=\Sigma x\cdot P(x)

So, let's multiply each pair of values and add them


\mu=4\cdot0.4+5\cdot0.3+6\cdot0.3=1.6+1.5+1.8=4.9

Hence, the mean is 4.9.
